High polyphenol intake curbs liver enzymes in HIV/HCV patients

Data on patients with both HIV and hepatitis C revealed those who consumed more polyphenol-rich foods such as chocolate and coffee attained reduced levels of liver enzymes compared with those who ate less. However, more studies are needed to back the findings, experts said.
