Investors concerned over fate of SEC mining-disclosure rule

Concerned investors asked the Securities and Exchange Commission to defend a rule mandating the disclosure of payments made by oil, gas and mining companies to foreign governments. The rule mandated by the Dodd-Frank Act had been thrown out after a legal challenge, although the SEC is expected to rewrite the provision.
