InVivo postpones first human trial of spinal cord injury device

InVivo Therapeutics has pushed back through the first quarter of next year the launch of a first-in-human study of its biopolymer scaffold. The company had originally planned to kick off the trial a few months after obtaining FDA investigational device exemption approval. The trial will test whether the device is safe and effective in patients with acute spinal cord injury.
