Md. airport expansion could bring 60,000 flights to airport

The Harford County Airport near Churchville, Md., plans to convert the existing three runways to a single runway, replace old hangars and upgrade the management building. Maryland Aviation Administration officials estimate that the expansion could bring about 60,000 yearly flights to the airport, causing some residents to be concerned about noise and safety, but the airport plans to buy additional property as a buffer zone around the airport.
