Nurse-led program is cost effective in treating RA

Individuals with rheumatoid arthritis placed under the care of nurses spent more time with clinicians and were less likely to have changes in medication or dosage compared with those in rheumatologist-led care, a study in Annals of the Rheumatic Disease found. Researchers noted that nurse-led care was more cost-effective based on disease activity scores.
