Pilot flies solo round the world in home-built airplane

Calle Hedberg took an eight-month sabbatical from his job in South Africa to fly around the world in a Ravin 500 airplane he built himself. Beginning on July 14, Hedeberg's flight has taken him so far through West Africa, Europe and Canada. He has a few places he wants to stop, but doesn't want to plan his flight too strictly. "I like waking up in the morning not knowing what’s going to hit me during the day," he said.
