Study criticizes quickservice ads aimed at kids

McDonald's and Burger King ads aimed at children that ran between July 2009 and June 2010 mostly emphasized toy giveaways and movie tie-ins instead of the food, according to a study released this week. The chains dispute the findings that they're not living up to pledges to advertise only healthy food options in kids' ads, saying the data is three years old and doesn't accurately reflect current campaigns.
