Wis. district examines career-education program that pays

Milwaukee Public Schools in Wisconsin is considering working with GPS Education Partners -- a group that creates partnerships between schools and businesses to help at-risk students -- to launch a program in which teens would learn valuable manufacturing and technical skills. Students in the program would be paid for their work and take classes to complete their diplomas.
