Fix seen for F-35 engine fire problem

Having identified excessive rubbing of a fan blade as the cause of a fire that recently grounded the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, Pratt & Whitney is preparing to test an engine design change. The company says the fix should address the problem although the change hasn't been specified. Gen. Mark Welsh, the Air Force chief of staff, says it's likely a manufacturing change will be needed to prevent the problem.
