Foster Farms uses new salmonella testing protocol

After its chicken was blamed for more than 600 salmonella infections last summer, California's largest chicken producer, Foster Farms, instituted a new safety and testing protocol to clean out chicken houses and prevent infection. After months using the new system, the rate of salmonella infection in the company's chicken parts fell from 20% to less than 5%.
