Washington state educators feel testing strain

As schools reopen for the fall term, Washington state educators will be under pressure to boost students scores on the high-stakes Washington Assessment of Student Learning. By arguing that its standardized test is among the toughest in the nation, the state won leniency from the federal government over how quickly NCLB targets had to be reached.
