American cheese makers are on the move

A boom is occurring in the American artisanal cheese sector, and the cheese makers involved are an assortment of interesting, creative and devoted characters, according to one writer who recently attended the American Cheese Society's annual conference and judging in Burlington, Vt. Cheese makers in the U.S. are showing the world that they have arrived and so have their delicious products, she writes.
