New Washington state newspaper headquarters shoots for LEED Gold

The new six-story headquarters for the Columbian newspaper in Vancouver, Wash., will not only offer savings for the company's bottom line but do so in a highly eco-friendly way. The $30 million building is being built according to LEED Gold certification standards and will include energy-saving features such as a "ground-source" heating and cooling system and an occupancy sensored lighting system.
