Study: Alternative media drives communications spending

Total communications spending grew by 6.8% to $885.20 billion last year as more marketers shifted to alternative media platforms, according to a study by Veronis Suhler Stevenson. The study adds that ad spending in print publications and broadcast TV rose to $209.74 billion due to increased spending in online, mobile and out-of-home media.
