The Teachers for a New Era Partnership in Massachusetts aims to boost teacher effectiveness through new-teacher training backed by coaching from veteran educators. Funded by the Carnegie Foundation, the program offers a new-teacher workshop before the start of the school year, and it is backed by mentoring sessions from experienced educators throughout the first year. The partnership also trains veteran teachers with a graduate course designed to hone their mentoring skills.
