Grapefruit may help Type 2 diabetes treatment

Antioxidants in grapefruit confer the same benefits as fenofibrate and rosiglitazone, two drugs used to control Type 2 diabetes, a study of liver cells found. The antioxidant, called naringenin, appears to help the liver break down fat and improve insulin sensitivity, researchers said.
