Mobile vet clinic makes house calls

Some veterinarians in a Maryland community are using mobile clinics to provide regular checkups in an effort to ease the crunch in pet owners' busy schedules. Some vets say they prefer working in a mobile clinic. "What I found I like a lot about it is it's so much more of a personal service," said Dr. Nancy Powel, the owner of one clinic. "I've built stronger relationships with my clients, and their animals, by seeing them in the home environment."
