Samsung, Panasonic get aggressive with 3-D TV pricing

Samsung and Panasonic are lowering the price points on some of their 3-D TV sets. Samsung announced a 50-inch 3-D plasma model, the PN50C490, which is selling for less than $1,000, and Panasonic has launched a lower-priced GT25 3-D series, which includes a 42-inch display for $1,700 and a 50-inch version for $2,100.
