The benefits of student blogging

Teacher Jenny Luca teaches her students how to blog and create electronic portfolios, allowing them to gain technical expertise and become digital citizens. She shares six reasons why students in other schools should begin blogging, writing that blogs help students to create positive digital footprints, learn to communicate using digital tools and allow parents to view students' work. Blogging also promotes digital citizenship, opens the door to using other digital tools and lets students take pride in their work.
