Google Search iPhone mobile ad wins viewers, downloads

Google's mobile interactive ad for its Search iPhone application on Google's own AdMob network won a 50% download rate for the app, as well as an average of one-and-a-half minutes of user engagement with the ad itself. "We wanted to show people some of the amazing things you can do with the app -- like searching with pictures via visual search or speaking your searches with voice search," Clay Bavor, product management director of mobile display ads at Google, said of the ads, which employed AdMob's mobile banner, video and audio options.
