Graphene advance could speed up optical communications

Additional findings being reported about research conducted on graphene focus on a method to use the material for faster optical communications. Researchers at the universities of Manchester and Cambridge say they have found a way to combine graphene with plasmonic nanostructures, which in turn increased the light-harvesting capability of graphene by 20 times.
