Hitwise reports a drop-off in Groupon traffic

Visits to online discount leader Groupon dropped off this summer, according to Hitwise, with traffic down 50% from its high in June. Hitwise reported that overall traffic to sites measured on its Daily Deal & Aggregators list dropped 25% over the same span, although Groupon rival LivingSocial saw traffic rise 27%. The metrics don't include mobile traffic.
