Premature scaling can spell death for startups

It's not the market that kills most startups; it's those who run the show, writes Steve Blank. According to the Startup Genome Report, 74% of Internet startups fail because of premature scaling. Trying to grow too quickly can mean lower revenue and perhaps failure. Startups that paced their scaling grew 20 times faster than those that didn't.
