Sea salt has more nutrient value than table salt

Sea salt is the same as table salt in terms of sodium content, but there are nutrient differences when it is used for cooking. Sea salt is made from evaporated seawater and contains magnesium, calcium and other minerals, while table salt, which comes from underground deposits, has many of its nutrients removed during processing.
