Amazon, due to release a new Kindle Fire tablet Thursday, has sold out of the original 7-inch version, according to the online retailer. Amazon says it has taken a 22% share of the U.S. tablet market since the Kindle Fire's November debut. The new tablet reportedly will use Nokia's mapping services, rather than Google's. Also at Amazon, the company says it will open its Appstore for Android in the U.K., Germany, France, Italy and Spain.
