Calif. district reacts to changes to free, reduced-price meal program

In Oakland, Calif., officials in schools say a new requirement that students eligible for free and reduced-price meals register for the lunch program is causing some confusion. As the school year gets underway, officials say that not all eligible students are registered, and the change has led to some concern over the future of the lunch program. Officials say they will continue to serve meals to any student who needs them.
