Despite some disappointments, F-35 tests advance

Despite having to call off some shipboard F-35 test flights this week, the Marines remain upbeat about the progress being made with the aircraft's flight tests. More than 90 successful flights have been made with the F-35, the Marines said, and they are bullish on new variants of the plane. The F-35B, which can duck radar and execute helicopter-like landings, will be a key asset, says Brigadier General Matthew Glavy.
