Fla. students issued bar codes to access meal accounts

Students at two Florida elementary schools will be swiping bar codes in the lunch line this year, rather than entering a code on a keypad. Under the pilot program, students will be issued cards with a bar code -- used to access their meal accounts -- and a lanyard, but will be able to enter their ID numbers if they forget their cards.
