Greater clarity is sought for 403(b) plan IRS rules

The retirement industry is calling upon the Internal Revenue Service to provide clearer guidance in its rules for 403(b) direct contribution plans for some public employees. The National Tax Sheltered Accounts Association and the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries sent a joint letter to the IRS asking for some changes in the rules relating to collecting benefits and recordkeeping for non-vested accounts.
