There are many parallels between looking for a job and dating, according to the career experts interviewed for this article. Dating is successful only when people put themselves out there and know there's only one chance to make a good impression, they suggest. "Before you put yourself on the dating scene, or on the job market, you need to take inventory of what you offer and what you want," said AOL's lead college recruiter, Yolanda Owens.
