Plastic surgeon rebuilds boy's face, inch by inch

A Polish couple brought their 3-year-old son to Highland Park Hospital near Chicago, where plastic surgeon Bruce Bauer rebuilt the child's face after a large congenital nevus was removed. Bauer used tissue expanders to generate extra skin to patch the area from which the nevus had been removed. Nonprofit organizations Nevus Outreach and Gift from the Heart Foundation helped the family come to the U.S. for the surgeries.
