Two Illinois school districts will survey students in the coming year to assess their engagement, overall well-being and feelings of hope. The survey, administered by Gallup, is provided for free and was administered to students in 37 states last year alone. Ball-Chatham School Superintendent Carrie Hruby said the results will help the district get "a pulse on our entire student body," in part, by assessing students' lives outside of school.
