Sacramento girds for massive sewer project

The Northwest Interceptor project will bring a 37-mile, $875 million sewer line to the Sacramento, Calif., area, and construction on the project's largest portion is soon to begin. The interceptor is one of the biggest infrastructure projects in the West and, with the help of a massive tunnel-boring machine, will take the line underneath the Sacramento River.
