Electronic Arts inks first in-game ad deals

Leading video game publisher Electronic Arts Inc. has made its first moves into online advertising, via two deals with in-game ad suppliers. The agreements call for Microsoft Corp.'s Massive Inc. to provide ads for up to four games, starting with the late-October launch of "Need for Speed: Carbon," and IGA Worldwide Inc., to supply ads for as many as three games, beginning with the mid-October release of "Battlefield 2142."
