U.S. defense firms eager to tap India

India's growing military budget could help U.S. defense contractors offset a projected slowdown in the Pentagon's weapons spending, experts say. Several U.S. defense companies have opened Indian offices, including Lockheed Martin, Boeing and Sikorsky Aircraft. General Dynamics recently bought an Indian company. In December, Aerospace Industries Association representatives will travel to India with executives from 20 companies.
