Gay-friendly politicians should come out of closet, too

The LGBT community should be just as tough on closeted politicians who support equal rights but not marriage as they are on lawmakers like Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, who hypocritically vote against the community's interests to avoid being outed, according to Israeli activist Yoav Sivan. "It's time to hold the feet of our alleged champions closer to the fire," he writes. "It's time for the American gay community to toughen up its message to politicians -- you can't be for equality and be against marriage equality."
