Maryland allegedly over-reported exit-exam pass rate

Maryland education officials reported that 75.1% of the state's 55,000 high school students had passed the biology exit exam, but the actual number is about 62.6% of about 66,000 actual students, the Washington Times reported. State officials eliminated 11,000 students expected to fail, drop out or be held back from their calculation.
