NBCU declines a second bite at the Apple

NBC Universal will no longer offer digital downloads of its popular TV shows, such as "The Office" and "Heroes," on iTunes. The media conglomerate, whose shows make up about 40% of iTunes' video downloads, is the second major programmer, following Universal Music Group of Vivendi, to part with Apple's online store due to a lack of control over pricing and packaging. NBCU confirmed the decision, but otherwise had no comment; Apple declined to comment.
