South Korea mobile trends defy expectations

Analysts continue to watch South Korea's hip mobile-phone industry as several companies are testing new technologies in the area. "First, people now consume mobile content as much at home as they do outside the home. ... Next, uptake among users in their 30s and 40s is stronger than we expected. And virtual communities are beginning to form around mobile content," said Ryan Sim, vice president at mobile-content provider Gigigo.
