Deere & Co. board approves $125M for Russian plant

The Deere & Co. board of directors approved a plan to invest $125 million to build a facility in Russia. The manufacturing and parts center near Moscow will produce tractors, harvesting equipment, and construction and forestry products. "Russia will be a major contributor to meeting the world's future needs for food and forestry products," said Samuel Allen, chief executive officer of Deere.
