Editorial: Teterboro may never be "safe enough"

A major New Jersey newspaper is suggesting Teterboro Airport -- the 56th busiest airport in the U.S. -- may need to be shut down for safety reasons. Citing a litany of accidents and incidents, the Newark Star-Ledger says improved runways and reduced traffic do not go far enough in making Teterboro safe for fliers and neighbors alike. "With each mishap and close call, one point becomes clear: Making it safer may never make it safe enough," the paper concludes.
