Major petrochemical site would produce 8M tons of products per year

A petrochemical project being planned by Dow Chemical and Saudi Arabian-run Saudi Aramco would be one of the world's largest chemical and plastic sites and would produce 8 million tons of products per year, according to Saudi Aramco. The project, known as Ras Tanura Integrated Refining and Petrochemicals and valued at more than $20 billion, would include 35 process units, "each of which could be considered a major project," according to an official, and the site could become operational in 2015.
