Pilots union seeks ban on lithium batteries

The Air Line Pilots Association on Tuesday issued a call for the FAA to prohibit shipments of lithium batteries on both passenger flights and cargo jets. Citing three hazardous situations in the past two months, ALPA says the ban would "protect airline passengers, crews and cargo until the proper safety regulations are in place and can be enforced."
