Studies link alcohol and caffeine to irregular heartbeat

Two studies have found that people who drink large quantities of coffee or alcohol are at increased risk for an irregular heartbeat. The alcohol study found that 10 drinks a week can increase the risk by 80%, while the caffeine study found an increased risk for people consuming more than the equivalent of four espresso shots daily.
