Amazon aims to deliver TV via the Internet

Amazon is working on a service that would deliver TV shows and movies over the Internet, jumping into a competitive field that includes Netflix and Apple, which is expected to launch a 99-cent TV show rental service as early as this week. Amazon, which has reportedly been shopping its plan to major media companies in recent weeks, would make programming available on computers as well as Internet-connected televisions, Blu-ray players and Xbox 360 consoles.
