Analysis predicts significant growth in ambulatory EHR market

A Frost & Sullivan analysis estimates that the market for ambulatory EHRs will grow from $1.3 billion a year ago to $2.6 billion by 2012, driven by changes brought about by the health reform law and stimulus incentives. "We are finally seeing providers make the transition from siloed paper charts to interoperable electronic health records," a Frost & Sullivan analyst said.
