Clean-coal coalition supports new FutureGen project

An alliance of coal and power companies has thrown its weight behind a revised federal plan for the FutureGen clean-coal project, despite the government's recent revision of the project's goals. The "FutureGen 2.0" project, which secured $1 billion in funding last month, will trap carbon produced by a retrofitted coal power plant and store it underground.
