N.C. residents flee as Hurricane Earl threatens East Coast:

Many coastal residents of North Carolina, particularly in the state's barrier islands, are leaving their homes as Hurricane Earl grows stronger and threatens the East Coast. "We do not have a forecasted landfall, but this is a very large storm, and we do expect impacts along the coast," said Federal Emergency Management Agency Director Craig Fugate.
