Obama administration creates export coordination center

The Obama administration is tightening the nation's export controls with the creation of an export coordinating center. The center will maintain a single set of licensing policies, as well as a common information technology system for processing and tracking export licenses. The idea is to smooth operations by eliminating gaps and duplication in the export process.
