Samsung has a tablet, but no additional phones for the holidays

Samsung Electronics will be forced to count on its Galaxy S lineup of smartphones and a tablet, the Galaxy Tab, for its holiday sales season, meaning the handset-maker will not introduce a model targeted specifically for shoppers, according to a published report. "By launching the Galaxy S at so many carriers, Samsung gains reach but loses out on the energy and money that carriers are going to put behind their exclusive phones instead," said Avi Greengart, an analyst at Current Analysis.
